In the 60's, a group of grimy, noisy and relentlessly bleak rock & roll band was formed called, The Stooges, headed by Iggy Pop. The band was the first rock & roll band completely stripped of the swinging beat that epitomized R&B and early rock & roll. One of their unforgettable albums released was, The Stooges (album).
