Bing Crosby was an American popular singer and Academy Award-winning actor. He had 38 No. 1 singles, which surpassed even Elvis Presley and The Beatles. Though he is sometimes now forgotten, Bing was one of the biggest music and without doubt, the most popular and influential media star of the first half of the 20th century. The undisputed best-selling artist until well into the rock era. According to the Guinness Book of Records, his single, "White Christmas" has sold over 100 million copies around the world, with at least 50 million sales as singles.
